ABOUT US
Cheryl and I started Crutchfield Farms as a dream when we first got married 42 years ago. Now that vision has become a thriving business. Crutchfield Farms is a family-owned and managed, working cattle farm located in Midland, North Carolina. The cattle are raised on grass pastures, and offer local beef to the public, and ship nationwide. All of our beef ais raised on all-natural feed without antibiotics or added hormones. We strive to be good stewards of the land with the hopes of continuing the family business for generations to come.

OUR CATTLE
Santa Gertrudis cattle, a breed developed in the early 20th century at the King Ranch in Texas, are renowned for their adaptability and hardiness. These cattle are a cross between Brahman and Shorthorn breeds, combining the Brahman's heat and parasite resistance with the Shorthorn's beef quality and milking ability. They have a distinctive deep red color, and their robust build makes them well-suited for diverse environments, from tropical regions to arid plains. Known for their high fertility, good mothering instincts, and efficient weight gain, Santa Gertrudis cattle are a popular choice for beef production worldwide. Their genetic resilience and adaptability contribute to their reputation as a reliable and versatile breed in the cattle industry.
